A New Year Gained or a New Year Lost ??

A New Year Gained or a New Year Lost ??

Zoom!

Before we knew it, last year passed by like a flash and the new year is here...whether it is 2016 CE or 1437 of the Hijri Calendar.

For some people, the beginning of the new year is marked by excited countdowns, popping of firecrackers, partying till the wee hours of the morning and dancing.
And for some, it is a time for somber thoughtfulness and self accountability.

Instead of celebrating, they are worried and scared.
Instead of partying, they think and reflect.
Their hearts tremble and their skins shiver.

Because each year that passes means a year LESS from their lifetime.... .

Each year that passes by is bringing them closer to their death....
Because, they know that with each passing year....each passing month....each passing day.....and each passing second...they are that much closer to that inevitable event when they meet their end,
that much closer to their meeting with their Lord, when they will have to stand in front of Him and answer regarding all that they did.

They are aware that whatever time has passed will never come back.
They know that if they did not make the most of their time, and if they did not use their time wisely, in the obedience of Allah (The One & Only God), then surely, they are the losers.

That is because, the Holy Prophet (sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) said: "On the Day of Resurrection the feet of the son of Adam (man) will not move till he is questioned about four things: how he spent his lifetime, how he spent his youth, from where he acquired his wealth and how he spent it, and what he did with his knowledge." (Tirmidhi)

So they take account of themselves and their deeds at the end of a year....and at the end of a month.....and at the end of a day. They are not heedless of the passage of time or day. They are conscious of every second of their lives and how important it is to spend it usefully.
You see, your life is like the pages of a calendar. As the months go by, you flip its pages, never to flip the pages back. Those months that have passed will never come back.

Similarly, as the days and weeks and months of your life go by, they too, will never come back.

What is gone, is gone.

That is why the righteous Salaf were so careful about their time and how they spent it. They made sure that no time, however short it was, passed without doing something useful, like acquiring useful knowledge, doing good deeds, helping others, or advising the Ummah (Muslim nation).

Describing the Salafs care for time, Hasan al-Basri said: "I saw those people and how they were more careful about their time than about their Dirhams and Dinars (meaning, their money).

Regarding Imam Hammad ibn Salamah, someone said: "It is unbelievable! I have never seen Hammad laugh at all. He was always busy explaining hadeeth, praying, reading or praising the Lord. This is how he spent his day." And:" If you were to tell Hammad, You are going to die tomorrow', there would be nothing he could add to what he is already doing."

Subhaan Allaah! (Glory be to God) What consciousness of the value of time!
Ibn al-Qayyim says: "The year is like a tree, months are its branches, days are the branch sticks, hours are its leaves, and the breaths are its fruits. Therefore, if one's breaths are in obedience [to Allah and His Messenger], the fruits of his tree are good. If they are in disobedience, his fruits are bitter. The harvest is on the Appointed Day, when one's fruits are found out to be either good or bitter."

The Holy Prophet (sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) said:
“Make the most of five things before five others: life before death, health before sickness, free time before becoming busy, youth before old age, and wealth before poverty.” (Saheeh al-Jaami’)
This Hadeeth, like so many other ahaadeeth of the Holy Prophet (sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam), is brief, yet it is so comprehensive and loaded with meaning. Not only does it point out the value of time, but it also points out the importance of its proper utilization during our youth, and health. It urges us to take the initiative, and not to delay good deeds.

The Holy Prophet (sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa sallam) also said:
"Lose no time to do good deeds before you are caught up by one of seven calamities awaiting you: a starvation which may impair your wisdom; a prosperity which may mislead you; an ailment which may damage your health; an old age which may harm your senses; a sudden death; the Dajjal; or Doomsday, which is indeed the hardest and most bitter." [at-Tirmidhi]

In fact, we see that the Sahabah (Companions of Holy Prophet) were not only careful about wasting their time; rather they would compete with one another in good deeds.

The noble and commendable competitions that occurred between Abu Bakr and Umar is well-known to all.
"Umar saw that as an opportunity to outstrip Abu Bakr and he said: Today, I am going to surpass Abu Bakr.
He said: So I came with half of my property.
The Messenger of Allah asked: What have you left for your family? I answered: As much as this.

Then Abu Bakr came with all that he has and the Messenger of Allah said: What have you left for your family?
He replied: I left for them Allah and his Messenger.
It is then that I said: I shall never compete with him on anything again.” (At-Tirmidhee) .

And Allah (The One & Only God) says: "So race in goodness." (Holy Quran Surah Baqarah: 148)
Some Ulemaa (Scholars) while commenting on the above verse said: “Whoever beats others to the righteous deeds in this world will be the foremost on the Last Day and the foremost people are the highest in position.”

Dear brothers and sisters, man's life is not free from impediments, obstacles and calamities, which can prevent him from accomplishing what could have been done earlier. Wise are those who grab available opportunities before being handicapped by obstacles.

Let us leave those people moving aimlessly in their fake pleasures and ponder over a better and sublime competition. ...... a competition that is encouraged by the Glorious Quran.

It is a race towards the Pleasure of Allah (The One & Only God) and the Paradise.... a competition in the field of righteous deeds.

It is a competition in which the participants are wise people who are aware that this live is short hence they compete with one another in investing their lives in acts of obedience to Allah (The One& Only God).

"Therefore, race for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a Garden as wide as heaven and earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His Messengers. Such is the Favor of Allah; He gives it to whom He will. Allah is the Owner of great favor."

(Holy Quran Surah Hadeed: 21)

DID YOU KNOW THIS?

DID YOU KNOW THIS?

Here are some powerful & famous men and women
who mocked God (Allah)

Tancredo Neves the arrogant

Tancredo Neves

(President of Brazil):
During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency.
Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.

Cazuza the pervert

Cazuza (Bisexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet):
During A show in Canecio (Rio de Janeiro),
while smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: 'God, that's for you.'
He died at the age of 32 of HIV AIDS in a horrible manner.

Destruction of Titanic the fall of the proud

Those who built the Titanic

After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be.
With an ironic tone he said:
'Not even God can sink it'
The result: All know what happened to the Titanic

Bon Scott the degenerate

Bon Scott (Singer)
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC.
On one of his 1979 songs he sang:
'Don't stop me; I'm going down all the way, down the highway to hell'.
On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his own vomit.

Degenerate & Pervert Men  Degenerate & Pervert Women

In Campinas , Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend.....
The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car:
'My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You.'
She responded: 'Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk, Cause Inside Here.....It's Already Full '
Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died,
the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact.
The police said there was no way the trunk
could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was broken

Those events though may not have been on the records of any official media and have been reported by anonymous people present at that time when these people mock God, likely some people would cover & declare them rumors in order to protect the false prestige of such degenerate idols of the modern times, but the ultimate truth is the DEATH. Today there are countless degenerate people who mock God be they famous or not what they donot realise is when their mortality is revealed to them and the time of death draws near they will be stripped of their arrogance & pride as the horrid pain & reality of death overwhelms as every man & woman on this earth has to face death. Similarly the history of this world is full of examples of the rise & fall of such men & women.

Hope that you don't ignore and let Allah {The One & Only God} bless you.
And remember seek Him whilst He may be found!!!

“Do not walk proudly on the earth; your feet cannot tear apart the earth nor are you as tall as the mountains
(Holy Qur’an, 17:37)."

“He {God} does not love the proud ones
(Holy Qur’an, 16:23)."

“Is not hell the dwelling of the arrogant ones
(Holy Qur’an, 39:60)"

Leave alone those who take their religion to be mere play and amusement, and are deceived by the life of this world. But proclaim (to them) this (truth): that every soul delivers itself to ruin by its own acts: it will find for itself no protector or intercessor except Allah. If it offered every ransom, (or reparation), none will be accepted: such is (the end of) those who deliver themselves to ruin by their own acts: they will have for drink (only) boiling water, and for punishment, one most grievous: for they persisted in rejecting Allah. (Holy Qur’an, 6:70)

Lessons From Sûrah Qâf

Lessons From Sûrah Qâf

************************************************************************************************************************************************

All praise is due to Allâh, Lord of all the worlds. Peace and blessings of Allâh be upon the Messenger, his household and companions.

Fear Allâh (The One & Only God) and hold fast unto the Islâm which is the strongest handhold. Allâh (The One God) says,

“O you who believe! Fear Allâh (by doing all that He has ordered and by abstaining from all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared and die not except in a state of Islâm (as Muslims with complete submission to Allâh).”  (Holy Quran  آ‘Imrân 3:102)

Allâh (The One God) also says,

“And whosoever fears Allâh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine.” (Holy Quran At-Talâq: 65:2-3)

Allâh (The One God) sent every messenger to his people with a miracle and a sign. He sent Holy Prophet Muhammad, blessings and peace be upon him- with the greatest miracle and the most decisive sign, which shall remain everlasting till the Day of Resurrection. The sign is the Noble Qur’ân, which is the revealed and preserved Word of Allâh (The One & Only God). The Book explains everything and guides to the most straightforward path. Allâh says about the Book,

Alif-Lâm-Râ. (These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’ân and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings).” (Hûd 11:1)

The Qur’ân is the greatest reference for the preachers and the best authority relied on by the just rulers. It is its light that guides the scholars. Allâh (The One God) calls it an admonishment when He says,

“O mankind! There has come to you a good advice from your Lord (i.e. the Qur’ân, enjoining all that is good and forbidding all that is evil), and a healing for that (disease of ignorance, doubt, hypocrisy and differences) in your breasts, - a guidance and a mercy (explaining lawful and unlawful things) for the believers.” (Holy Quran Yûnus 10:57)

Allâh’s Messenger used to admonish and remind his companions with the Qur’ân in response to the call of his Lord,

“But warn by the Qur’ân; him who fears My Threat.” (Holy Quran Qâf 50:45)

Umm Hishâm bint Hârithah said,

“We used to share the same oven with the Messenger of Allâh for two years or a year and some months. And I did not memorise (Sûrah) ‘Qâf wal-Qur’ânil-majîd’ but from the mouth of Allâh’s Messenger. He used to recite it every Jumu‘ah on the pulpit when he preached to people.” (Muslim)

Ibn Kathîr said,

“The purpose is that the Messenger of Allâh used to recite this Sûrah in big congregations like Eids and Jumu‘ahs because the Sûrah contains information about the beginning of the creation, the Resurrection, the return, the standing (for reckoning), the Reckoning, Paradise and Fire. It also contains information on reward, punishment, encouragement to do good deeds and warning against evil deeds. And Allâh knows best.”

Surely, knowing about admonition is a blessing and strength. It is also a reward and guidance. Allâh (The One God) says,

“But if they had done what they were told, it would have been better for them, and would have strengthened their (Faith); and indeed We should then have bestowed upon them a great reward from Ourselves.” (Holy Quran An-Nisâ 4:66-67)

Let us now incline towards the shades of this Sûrah in order to revive the Sunnah (way of Holy Prophet), to attain guidance and to admonish our hearts.

In the Name of Allâh the Gracious, the Merciful. “Qâf. By the honoured Qur’ân. Nay, they wonder that there has come to them a warner (Muhammad (peace be upon him)) from among themselves. So the disbelievers say: "This is a strange thing! "When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be resurrected?) That is a far return." We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). Nay, but they have denied the truth (this Qur’ân) when it has come to them, so they are in a confused state (cannot differentiate between right and wrong).” (Verses 1-5)

In the last of this group of verses, Allâh (The One God) describes those who rejected the truth as being in a confused state. This is truly the state of anyone who keeps away from the guidance of the Holy Qur’ân, denies the truth and seeks guidance from other than Allâh (The One & Only God). Such a person is always erratic in his thoughts and positions and confused in his life and actions. He always follows his desire; and concepts and values are always contradicting in his view.

In the following verses, Allâh (The One God) commands His slaves to ponder over His Works through which He created everything in the state of perfection. Can anyone besides Allâh create what is similar? Far is Allâh above that. Rather, can the creatures stand by themselves? This is indeed, a great proof that Allâh is Omnipotent and that He is the True God.

“Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how We have made it and adorned it, and there are no rifts in it? And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants). It is an insight and a Reminder for every slave who turns to Allâh (i.e. the one who believes in the Oneness of Allâh and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His pardon). And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. And tall date-palms, with ranged clusters. A provision for (Allâh’s) slaves. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the resurrection (of the dead). Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah) the people of Nûh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and Thamûd; And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lût (Lot); And the Dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'. Everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, they are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection)?” (Verses 6-15)

High and Exalted is Allâh (The One & Only God)). Indeed, the One Who created the creatures from non-existence and never lacked strength while He was creating them is perfectly Capable of repeating their creation.

After this, Allâh (The One God) explains the second creation that will take place on the Day of Resurrection. He preceded that by reminding His slaves of His creation of man, that nothing is hidden from Him and that He knows what moves about in the hearts, not to talk of what is uttered or done however concealed they are. He explains that all that is watched and recorded. The Muslim should therefore get prepared for that day. For anyone who did an atom weight of good deed will find its reward and anyone who did an atom weight of evil deed will find its reward. You should therefore call yourselves to account before you are called to it.

“And indeed We have created man, and We know what his own self whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!"” (Verses 16-19)

Yes! There is no escape from death. It is the fate of every living thing. No Muslim or disbeliever will escape from this fate. In spite of the severity of death, what comes after it, such as situations of the grave, the Resurrection and Reckoning are far more severe and more horrible
.

“And the Trumpet will be blown - that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him) and an (angel) to bear witness.” (Verses 20-21)

The sinner will then be told,

“Indeed you were heedless of this. Now We have removed from you your covering, and sharp is your sight this Day!” (Verse 22)

In this difficult situation, the record of deeds will be distributed and the people will be shown their positions in Paradise or Hell. It is then that the dwellers of Hell will start arguing with one another as Allâh (The One God) explains in different places in His Book. He says,

“And his companion (angel) will say: "Here is (this Record) ready with me!" (Allâh will say to the angels): "Both of you throw into Hell every stubborn disbeliever (in the Oneness of Allâh, in His Messengers). "Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, "Who set up another ilâh (god) with Allâh. Then both of you cast him in the severe torment.” His companion (Satan - devil) will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgress, (in disbelief, oppression, and evil deeds) but he was himself in error far astray." Allâh will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already in advance sent you the threat. The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust (to the least) to the slaves." On the Day when We will say to Hell: "Are you filled?" It will say: "Are there any more (to come)?” (Verses 23-30)

As for Paradise, it will be brought closer to the believers as an honour to them. Listen to the deion of its will-be dwellers.

“And Paradise will be brought near to the pious not far off. (It will be said): "This is what you were promised - (it is) for those oft-returning (to Allâh) in sincere repentance, and those who preserve their covenant with Allâh (by obeying Him in all what He has ordered, and worshipping none but Allâh Alone, i.e. follow Allâh’s religion - Islâmic Monotheism). "Who feared the Most Beneficent (Allâh) in the Ghaib (Unseen) and brought a heart turned in repentance (to Him and absolutely free from each and every kind of polytheism). "Enter you therein in peace and security - this is a Day of eternal life!" There they will have all that they desire - and We have more (for them, i.e. a glance at the All-Mighty, All-Majestic (glorified and exalted be He))” (Verses 31-35)

In a wonderful explicative apposition, the end of this Sûrah re-emphasises all the issues that are discussed in it. Allâh (The One God) says,

“And how many a generation We have destroyed before them who were stronger in power than they. And (when Our Torment came) they ran for a refuge in the land! Could they find any place of refuge (for them to save themselves from destruction)? Verily, therein is indeed a reminder for him who has a heart or gives ear while he is heedful. And indeed We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in six Days and nothing of fatigue touched Us. So bear with patience (O Muhammad (peace be upon him)) all that they say, and glorify the Praises of your Lord, before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting. And during a part of the night (also) glorify His praises and (so likewise) after the prayers.” (Verses 36-40)

Allâh (The One & Only God) also tells us that performance of prayers and remembrance of Allâh are means of perseverance and strength. He says,

“And listen on the Day when the caller will call from a near place. The Day when they will hear As-Saihah (shout) in truth: that will be the Day of coming out (from the graves, i.e. the Day of Resurrection). Verily, We it is Who give life and cause death; and to Us is the final return. On the Day when the earth shall be cleft, from off them, (they will come out) hastening forth. That will be a gathering, quite easy for Us. We know of best what they say. And you (O Muhammad (peace be upon him)) are not the one to force them (to Belief). But warn by the Qur’ân; him who fears My Threat.” (Verses 41-45)

Show gratitude to Allâh (The One & Only God) for giving you rain. Ask Him to make it a rain of blessing and to make it cover all our lands. For the real drought is not in lack of rain but lack of blessings in the fallen rain. Adhere to the means of achieving blessing. Allâh (The One God) says,

“And if the people of the towns had believed and had piety, certainly, We should have opened for them blessings from the heaven and the earth, but they belied (the Messengers). So We took them (with punishment) for what they used to earn (polytheism and crimes).” (Holy Quran Al-A‘râf 7:96)

Subject: Why is it always so..?

Subject: Why is it always so..?

Why a Jew can grow his beard in order to practice his faith & religion

But when Muslim does the same, he is labeled an extremist and terrorist by the media such hypocrisy!

Why a nun can be covered from head to toe in order to devote herself to God

But when Muslim woman does the same they say she's oppressed, again such hypocrisy by the media

When western women stays at home to look after her house and kids she is respected because of sacrificing herself

But when a Muslim woman does so by her will, they say, "she needs to be liberated"! It is quite obvious now that the very nature of the modern media is Hypocritic..!

Any girl can go to university wearing what she wills and have her rights and freedom?

But when Muslimah wears a Hijab they prevent her from entering her university!

When a child dedicates himself to a subject he has potential

But when he dedicates himself to the religion of Islam he is hopeless that is according to the secular mindset!

When a Jew or a Christian kills someone religion is not mentioned,

but when Muslim is charged with a crime, it is Islam that goes to trial! Media deception & hypocrisy

When someone sacrfices himself to keep others alive, he is noble and all respect him.

But when a Palestinian does that to save his son from being killed, his brother's arm being broken, his mother being raped, his home being destroyed, and his mosque being violated -- He gets the title of a terrorist! Why? Because he is a Muslim!

When there is a trouble we accept any solution? If the solution lies in Islam, we refuse to take a look at it

When someone drives a perfect car in a bad way no one blames the car.

But when any Muslim makes a mistake or treats people in a bad manner - people say "Islam is the reason"! Such narrow & biased perception due to media bombardment

Without looking to the tradition of Islam, people believe what the newspapers & TV say.

But question what the One & Only God says in the Holy Quran !

A Lesson From A Man Who Never Lost Hope

A Lesson From A Man Who Never Lost Hope

The story is about the life of Prophet Zakariya. The Holy Qur’an tells us that while Maryam, mother of Issa (Jesus), was entrusted to his care, Zakariya would enter her chamber and find that she had been given an abundance of food. Upon seeing the food, Zakariya was shocked, since he had been the only one who ever entered her chamber. When he asked her from where the food had come, she replied that it had come from Allah. The Holy Qur’an says: “Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in purity and beauty: To the care of Zakariya was she assigned. Every time that he entered (her) chamber to see her, he found her supplied with sustenance. He said: “O Mary! Whence (comes) this to you?” She said: “From Allah. For Allah Provides sustenance to whom He pleases without measure.” (Holy Qur’an, 3:37)

While this experience had surprised Zakariya, it also had a profound effect on him. See, Zakariya was unable to have a child, as he was a very old man and his wife was barren. And yet Zakariya yearned greatly for a child to carry on his mission. Seeing how Allah (The One & Only God) had provided for Maryam did something miraculous inside Zakariya. It gave him hope. So he turned to Allah (The One God) and, with all hope and sincerity, prayed for the impossible. He prayed for a son.
The Holy Qur’an says: “Behold! He cried to his Lord in secret, Praying: ‘O my Lord! Infirm indeed are my bones, and the hair of my head doth glisten with gray: but never am I unblessed, O my Lord, in my prayer to Thee! Now I fear (what) my relatives (and colleagues) (will do) after me: but my wife is barren: so give me an heir as from Thyself – (one that) will (truly) represent me, and represent the posterity of Jacob; and make him, O my Lord, one with whom Thou art well-pleased!’” (Holy Qur’an, 19:3-6)

Notice that Zakariya knows the situation is impossible. He knows that his bones have become infirm, his hair has turned gray, and his wife is barren. But, despite all that, he still turns to Allah (The One & Only God) with hope. And it is the impossibility of his situation that makes his hope so inspiring.

His story is a lesson to us that no matter how difficult or how impossible a situation seems, one should never lose hope in Allah (The One God). For Allah, nothing is impossible. And when Allah gives, He gives without measure.

That means we should never reach a point where we give up asking Allah (The One God). We should never reach a point when we think we have asked for too much, or think something that we want could never happen. That’s what it means to be without measure. If Allah (The One God) gave with measure, then there would be some things that are too much for us to expect. But, when Allah gives, there is no measure. This means there is no limit to His generosity and His mercy. That’s why the story of Zakariya is a story of hope, but also a story of mercy. And it is for that reason that Allah (The One God) introduces the story by saying: “(This is) a recital of the Mercy of thy Lord to His servant Zakariya.” (Holy Qur’an, 19:2)

And the result of Zakariya’s hope and Allah’s mercy was the fulfillment of his prayer. The Holy Qur’an relates: “(His prayer was answered): ‘O Zakariya! We give thee good news of a son: His name shall be Yahya: on none by that name have We conferred distinction before.’ He said: ‘O my Lord! How shall I have a son, when my wife is barren and I have grown quite decrepit from old age?’ He said: ‘So (it will be) thy Lord saith, ‘that is easy for Me: I did indeed create thee before, when thou hadst been nothing!’” (Holy Qur’an, 19:7-9)

And even though Zakariya prayed for it, he could hardly believe it when his prayer was answered. His situation had been so difficult that it seemed almost impossible for there to be a way out. And yet, Allah (The One & Only God) made a way out for him. He blessed Zakariya in His infinite mercy.
Each story in the Holy Qur’an is told to us for a reason. In the story of Prophet Zakariya, we are taught to never lose hope — no matter how impossible something looks. We are taught that Allah is the One who gives without measure or limit, and that nothing is impossible for Him. Most of all, we are reminded that when walking through a situation where we see no way out, it is Allah (The One God) to whom we should turn to give us salvation.

Do you know who is the bankrupt?

B i s m i l l a a h i r   R a h m a a n i r    R a h e e m

Do you know who is the bankrupt?

The Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wa aalihee Wasallam (PBUH),
once asked his Companions
(May Allah be pleased with them) ,

"Do you know who is the bankrupt?"

The Companions said, "A bankrupt is the one
who has neither dirham (money) nor wealth."

The Prophet(PBUH) said: The bankrupt of my Ummah (Nation)...

is he
who would come on the Day of Judgment.......

 with lots of prayers, fasts and charities ;

but who had offended a person....

Slandered another....

Wrongfully taken the wealth of that person.....

Shed another’s blood.....

and has beaten still another......

So Allah will take rewards of his good deeds...

& give them to those who had been victimized by him;

If all of his good deeds were finished...

before their dues were paid....

Their sins will be taken and imposed on him....

...and consequently, he will be
thrown
 into the fire-pit!

when the moment of truth arrives.....

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Three (things) follow a dead person: Members of his family, his property and his deeds. Two of them return; and one remains with him. The people and his wealth return; his deeds remain with him". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Television Kills

This is a beautiful poem that was written by the late Roald Dahl which, while being witty, succinctly captures the wisdom of keeping children away from the insidious effects TV.  Please take some time out of your busy schedules to read this poem and reflect on its contents.

Television

By Roald Dahl (1916-1990)

The most important thing we've learned,
So far as children are concerned,
Is never, NEVER, NEVER let
Them near your television set --
Or better still, just don't install
The idiotic thing at all.
In almost every house we've been,
We've watched them gaping at the screen.
They loll and slop and lounge about,
And stare until their eyes pop out.
(Last week in someone's place we saw
A dozen eyeballs on the floor.)

They sit and stare and stare and sit
Until they're hypnotised by it,
Until they're absolutely drunk
With all that shocking ghastly junk.

Oh yes, we know it keeps them still,
They don't climb out the window sill,
They never fight or kick or punch,
They leave you free to cook the lunch
And wash the dishes in the sink --
But did you ever stop to think,

To wonder just exactly what
This does to your beloved tot?
IT ROTS THE SENSE IN THE HEAD!
IT KILLS IMAGINATION DEAD!
IT CLOGS AND CLUTTERS UP THE MIND!
IT MAKES A CHILD SO DULL AND BLIND
HE CAN NO LONGER UNDERSTAND
A FANTASY, A FAIRYLAND!
HIS BRAIN BECOMES AS SOFT AS CHEESE!
HIS POWERS OF THINKING RUST AND FREEZE!
HE CANNOT THINK -- HE ONLY SEES!

'All right!' you'll cry. 'All right!' you'll say,
'But if we take the set away,
What shall we do to entertain
Our darling children? Please explain!'
We'll answer this by asking you,
'What used the darling ones to do?
'How used they keep themselves contented

Before this monster was invented?'
Have you forgotten? Don't you know?
We'll say it very loud and slow:
THEY ... USED ... TO ... READ! They'd READ and READ,
AND READ and READ, and then proceed
To READ some more. Great Scott! Gadzooks!
One half their lives was reading books!
The nursery shelves held books galore!
Books cluttered up the nursery floor!
And in the bedroom, by the bed,
More books were waiting to be read!
Such wondrous, fine, fantastic tales
Of dragons, gypsies, queens, and whales
And treasure isles, and distant shores
Where smugglers rowed with muffled oars,
And pirates wearing purple pants,
And sailing ships and elephants,
And cannibals crouching 'round the pot,
Stirring away at something hot.
(It smells so good, what can it be?
Good gracious, it's Penelope.)
The younger ones had Beatrix Potter
With Mr. Tod, the dirty rotter,
And Squirrel Nutkin, Pigling Bland,
And Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle and-
Just How The Camel Got His Hump,
And How the Monkey Lost His Rump,
And Mr. Toad, and bless my soul,
There's Mr. Rate and Mr. Mole-
Oh, books, what books they used to know,
Those children living long ago!

So please, oh please, we beg, we pray,
Go throw your TV set away,
And in its place you can install
A lovely bookshelf on the wall.
Then fill the shelves with lots of books,
Ignoring all the dirty looks,
The screams and yells, the bites and kicks,
And children hitting you with sticks-
Fear not, because we promise you
That, in about a week or two
Of having nothing else to do,
They'll now begin to feel the need
Of having something to read.
And once they start -- oh boy, oh boy!

You watch the slowly growing joy
That fills their hearts. They'll grow so keen
They'll wonder what they'd ever seen
In that ridiculous machine,
That nauseating, foul, unclean,
Repulsive television screen!
And later, each and every kid
Will love you more for what you did.

PS:  Pass it on to others, especially children, perhaps it will be of some benefit
